Your Next Step

Many times when we have a goal, a dream or something we are working towards, we get stuck because off all the things we need to do to get there. We see where we are and where we want to go and find it daunting. Instead of letting all of it overwhelm you what if you focused on your very next step.
When we are figuring out what that next step may be, it is important to think about something we could do right now to take us one step closer. It could be something simple. For example, my next step in writing my book is to schedule it in each week. I have been scheduling in time to write, but have failed to make my book a priority. Now I will separate my writing time into two categories and schedule both, so I can make sure I get time to do it.
When it comes to my health, my next step is to strengthen my ankle so it can withstand me doing more, so every day I am doing my ankle exercises. When I focus on what the next step is, it doesn't feel so overwhelming. I can look at the big picture and figure out what the very next thing I need to do is and implement it. So what does this mean for you? What is your big dream, or goal you are trying to achieve right now? What would be the next step you need to do to move forward towards it? Then do that step. Once that step is done, what would be the next step. After awhile you will look back and see how far you've come and be amazed at your progress.
Don't let the big picture overwhelm you. Life is a journey and it doesn't happen overnight. Be prepared to take it one step at a time and see how quickly everything falls into place. If you are so overwhelmed you don't even know how to make sense of what the next step might be, you don't have to figure it out alone. We have great mentors that can work with you to figure it out.
