Connie's Story
“Ever since I was in my twenties, I have seen how counseling in the traditional way has let people down, I believe there is a better way…I call it mentoring. Mentoring goes far beyond listening, far beyond advice, it requires a commitment from both parties to work towards a goal. A mentor walks with you through the healing process, not just giving you a band-aid and sending you on your way. As a mentor I am invested in seeing you through the process to the other side for as long as you let me. Additionally, I do not focus on symptoms, instead together we discover the root of the issues so true healing and freedom can be found.
Many of the tools I use in mentoring come from my own life experiences as well as the training I have received in many areas. Most of the training I have received in the past 12 years have focused on children, however I believe that many of the things that hold us back are rooted in what we experienced as a child and this training is vital to help even adults heal those roots.
My passion is to see people set free from the issues that hold them back from living their life to the fullest. These issues range from fear, anxiety, and self doubt to deeper issues of identity and purpose. No matter where you are in life these emotional issues can creep in due to an offence, trauma or pain we experience. I have encountered many things over the course of her life and as a result I have build an arsenal of tools which I share with others so they can not only experience freedom but live it out every day. My desire is to see people set free and stay free, living lives filled with love, peace, and joy.
I have endured poverty, abuse, broken relationships, betrayal, failure, health issues, self image issues and so many other things. For the last 25 years I have poured everything I have learned from these experiences, and my training into all who needed me. My heart for the unloved, the lonely, the disenfranchised, is unique. I have helped children, teens, and adults through depression, suicidal thoughts, negative self image, and loss of identity. I want every person that I meet to walk away feeling loved and cared for.”
